From the powers-combined newsdesks of SSDNINJA and cHicKeNThis is the last cast in which you will see Nick 'Tasteless' Plott and Daniel 'SuperDanielMan' Lee cast replays instead of live games. Why you ask? Because the four matches below are the last ones of the Ro.64. After those we are going to see the Ro.32, where a lot of exciting games are waiting for us. Let us all wait with joy for next Sunday when we can watch live and see if the underdogs can advance or if the favorites can defeat them.
Set One

LuCifer vs

Effort
KesPA Rank 30th. The young Zerg of CJ Entus is slowly evolving into a monster. There is just one thing left for him to do - winning a single league. The one standing in his way is a member of the KTF MagicNs team. We will see who will stand after claws and psi-blades clash.
Effort dominated his opponent in this short and sweet game.
Despite having a view of the Zerg’s tech patterns for the entire game, Lucifer did not build any photon cannons in his main when mutalisks began harassment.
With only one corsair and a stargate with scourge placed outside of it, Lucifer GGed.
Effort sealed the deal in a very high level demonstration of Zerg play.
The Zerg began by attempting to break through the front of the Protoss main, but numerous photon cannons helped to deflect the attack.
Effort followed the failed attack by taking out the temples at the back of Lucifer’s main, taking out some probes and pylons in the process.
Lucifer was now in a good position to take control of the game, but Effort’s excellent transition into mutalisks meant that the Zerg was able to stay afloat with harassment.
The Zerg began to grow economically by leaps and bounds, and took the the Protoss back even more by sniping a critical expansion.
Soon a series of battles commenced that left the Protoss army in tatters, forcing Lucifer to GG.
Set Two

guemchi vs

Tempest
Here we have a very balanced mirror match. There is no huge gap between the KesPa rank of these two players. This simply means that it can go either way – which it already could since it is the Averatec- Intel tournament.
Tempest kept up the aggression and pulled out a victory in game one.
Guemchi attempted a failed early rush, giving Tempest the ability to counter back, which was also deflected.
Guemchi’s only real victory was a dark templar which took out five probes and one high templar, but it just wasn’t enough to pull ahead.
Soon Tempest was containing his opponent, and after a few powerful attacks to the rear of the main, victory was certain.
One last ditch attack was initiated by Guemchi, but it was too little too late and he GGed.
An excellent high level game of PvP yielded Tempest as the winner again.
An early intense battle broke out at Tempest’s natural expansion, with Tempest barely coming out on top.
This began a cycle of economic scarcity for Guemchi, who spent the rest of the game in a poorer position than his opponent.
Guemchi did put up a contain, but Tempest worked around it with excellent reaver drops, further weakening Guemchi’s position.
Left with no options, Guemchi attempted a final attack into Tempest’s base, with excellent micro on both sides.
Tempest’s superior reaver numbers won him the battle and the game, as Guemchi GGed a few minutes later.
Set Three

Dream.t vs

Forhitech
Kwanro, aka Forhitech, will face off against M18M, aka Dream.t. This match is the complete opposite of the one before. Besides the fact that this is no mirror match the KeSPA rank differs by about a hundred. Can M18M create an upset or will Kwanro sweap the floor with him?
Gangyu pulls out a win despite incredible comeback play from the Protoss.
Gangyu took an incredible lead on his Protoss opponent with incredible mutalisk harassment at multiple locations, taking out scores of probes. The Zerg solidified the lead with excellent corsair snipes with roving bands of scourges.
Gangyu had enough of a lead to tech to guardians and devourers, though they were all destroyed with little effect to M18M.
M18M began to come back strong with two expansion snipes. What really propelled him forward was constant dark templar harassment, which dealt huge damage to the Zerg, whose overlords were in different locations. When the corsairs arrived overlords began fall quickly, making Gangyu begin to sweat.
A few huge fights broke out at the Protoss main, with hydralisks and corsairs in a race to save or kill overlords. The final push barely broke through the Protoss defense, with one overlord left alive to spot for dark templar.
M18M GGed, though his incredible play almost gave him an epic come from behind victory.
Gangyu demonstrated his own ability to come back from behind this game, winning the match and the set.
M18M seemed very nervous at the beginning of the map sending 4 probes and 3 zealots to scout, all of which were killed before they spotted anything.
The Protoss stuck with the corsair/dark templar build, seeking to harass the Zerg and shake down his opponent’s economy. This time the harassment was not nearly so effective.
Gangyu absolutely blundered a dual drop attack, which put him at the mercy of the blossoming Protoss army. Gangyu delayed the Protoss enough to sandwich their forces and come out on top.
Despite almost losing to the Protoss counter, Gangyu was able to overwhelm the main and force a GG.
Gangyu marches on to the round of 32.
Set Four

OriOn vs

Mensol
OriOn beat JuNi to advance this far. Can he take down another Zerg to prove that this is the place he belongs? Let us watch another upset or a seeded player advancing!
Mensol demonstrated excellent ZvZ play and brought home a win.
Orion landed an excellent mutalisk snipe during the early mutalisk phase, allowing him to step ahead of his Zerg opponent.
However the first large air battle was also the last, and Orion was on the losing end. Excellent scourge micro by Mensol aided with superior mutalisk numbers gave him the win as Orion GGed.
Mensol again demonstrated superior control during this micro-intensive match.
Despite going for a fast expansion, Mensol had more zerglings than Orion when Orion attempted to push the fast expansion.
Orion slipped two zerglings into the main, but Mensol countered and went straight for Orion’s second hatchery.
Mensol won two critical zerglings contacts, taking out scores of drones, zerglings, and even taking out the hatchery.
Orion still attempted a last ditch mutalisk attack, but was beaten back soundly and forced to GG.
Mensol continues to the round of 32.
